I saw the Beatles. I saw Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
Wish I could've seen Jimi, The Who, Bloomfield, as well as Leslie West.
My cousin made it to Woodstock.
I never got to see any of the steel greats.
Legendary shows you wish you had seen

Emmons, Gatton and the Redneck Jazz Explosion at the Cellar Door in DC. I was right there but wasn’t into steel yet.

Yes Tom Petty, very sad!Paul Monroe wrote: The one person I could have seen and told the wife will catch him next year was Tom Petty the year he passed away
Godfrey I've seen Jimi perform but I didn't get much out of it. Maybe at the age of only fourteen I was to young. I prefered Pop groups like the Move who were also there that day. I later read that he even liked Engelbert Humperdink who hat a hit with "Release Me".
Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube.

I'm always listening to live records and wishing I was there. The ones that get me are being in the same geographical location and missing them from not being quite old enough, plugged in enough:
The Last Waltz SF
The last Sex Pistols show, SF
Frampton Comes Alive (partly at Winterland)
The Eagles last show at Long Beach 1980
The Beach Boys (while Carl and Dennis were still around)
The Who touring after Who's Next.

All the times I walked by cbgb's in east village as a 15 or 16 year old wondering what the heck it was, and being too scared to go in because it looked like I'd get my ass kicked. I was a hippie at the time, but I think I would have fit in fine and probably gotten served... bummer. That was back in 81.
