I'm curious what software you guys are using to make your music sound tracks and backup tracks. I'm doing a software review for Beck Musical Instruments and I'd like to here from you guys that make your own tracks. Any input would be appreciated,
Dan

I use an external sequencer for drums and keyboard parts. Then through a mixer - to sound card using 'Power Tracks'.
This creates 2 stereo MIDI tracks.

Then I record the remaining instruments direct through the mixer-to-sound card.
This creates the remaining analog (WAV) tracks for Bass, Guitars, PSG, vocals, etc., into the same Power Tracks file.

Then, I identify & refine the peaks using 'Audacity'.

Make CD using 'CD Architect 5.0'.

I use very little compression, on vocals only.
