Does anyone happen to know the names of the musicians that Jeff used on his rhythm tracks? They were so tight and solid. The rhythm tracks sounds as clean and pure today as they did when he brought out his courses. |

I suspect Bob Browning should be on the list. Bob did the singing on a lot of his instructional material. Bob is a guitar and bass player.
I worked with Bob at Little Roy Wiggins Lower Broadway music store in the early 70's. |

The week I was there, July 82, the guitar player was a guy that Jeff called "The Face". I think his name was Marvin Linear. |

Thanks Pete. I appreciate it. Jeffs rhythm tracks were among the best. |

Back in '79, I did a package tour in a house band with several artists. Marvin Lanier was Don Gibson's guitarist/bandleader, meaning he told all the pickup musicians how to watch for Don's onstage signals. As in "when Don yells 'steel man' over the mic, you play your ass off." Cool guy. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Hi Pete,
You were there about the same time I was. I definitely remember Marvin Lanier the "Fastest Face in the West." I think that's what Jeff called him. |

Hi Pete, yes you are dead right, the guitarist with Buddy that day was Marvin Linear ... I vividly remember his facial contortions hehe ....and that massive foam rubber cowboy hat he was wearing - I must dig out a photo :-}, I think the bass player was David Smith and the drummer DJ Fontana! _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9
