When I was a boy living in the LA area in the 1950s, a Hawaiian group had a TV show. The singer was Hilo Hatti (I don't know how to spell her name). I believe the steel player was the leader but I can't remember his name. Any help? |

Dave,
That was the Harry Owens Show. Harry employed many of the great Hawaiian performers during the band's existence.
You can obtain a video of that show from myriahs.com (sp?). You'll see Eddie Bush handling the steel chores on that video. Hilo Hattie was a regular featured performer. |
