For some time now, I have been having a problem replying to emails and getting the keyboard to type. It was usually in the morning, but would correct itself by the afternoon. Now, it is stuck and will only let me type in one letter, but no more. It will not let me back the cursor up and delete the one letter typed
It was taking 5 to 10 seconds for a letter to appear once I typed it in. A local guy said I might be low on memory, but I have not down loaded anything to speak of. When I went to the help section,it says memory is fine. The problem is responding to emails. My AOL account does have several years of saved messaged. Maybe i need to delete a bunch of old, saved emails. Any ideas?

The general consensus is to force a restart of the device.
If the screen on your Fire tablet is frozen, or your device is unresponsive in general, restart it.
To restart your Fire Tablet, press and hold the power button for 40 seconds or under the device restarts automatically.
If it's still slow after you restart, then try a reset:
Swipe down from the top of your home screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap Reset Device.

Amazon Fire tablet problem
Thanks, Wiz, I restarted and deleted a lot of emails on AOL and it is working normal. I didn't have to do a reset and lose personal photos.
All is well.
George
