Thanks

Post by john widgren »

I am overwhelmed by the kind words of support from you all. Thanks, you dont know how much I appreciate it. I am grateful for you all!

Its (with all humility) a simplified version of what I could vaguely pull to mind on the fly from the tab of BE's seminal Christmas Album. Much of his really good stuff ain't there, and I know it haha, so just I tried to stick to the melody.

I'm finding out that my Pixel 2 is not external mic friendly..which is a shame. So its just recorded with my phone on a tripod with the weakat best internal mic. The steel went into my (favorite) RV-7 large hall setting with more reverb than I would use if it was not solo/trackless. No added delay or processing. From the RV-7 into a 67 Showman head, then out to a single 12 cab.

Merry Christmas to you all, and thanks!

Love the guitar and loved the playing! I had an 89 I think it was with the centre pull pedals, I should never had let it go The closer pedal spacings on the newer Zum's was just not for me.... someone will be a happy bunny with this guitar.
