Clark Guitars are definitely built to last. JD Walters (Freddy Hart Band) and Sonny Curtis (George and Tammy Band) both still have theirs and are still playable. These guitars are more ZB like in nature due to the fact Jim and Zane Beck were close friends. I bought Jim's very first guitar and it is still in the family. Jim built me 4 and each model progressed to what they are today. The last guitar he finished for me was done a few months before his untimely passing. All I ever needed for maintenance was a drop of oil about every 6-8 months on anything that was metal to metal. They definitely have a great tone, he wound his own pickups after Zane explained to him the process. Very short and positive pedal action also, hand rubbed lacquer finishes! These were around before the Rus-ler was on the scene. They are a little on the heavy side (comparable to a ZB) and will definitely stay put on stage! I apologize for being so wordy!
