Steven, you might try going direct through Pearce, they may offer a pro discount price. The folks at Pearce are super nice! I've used their "Thermo-Cryonic" bars for years and love them, they never wear or dent. I've had trouble with plating issues on Chromed bars, and the solid stainless Pearce bars of course can't flake. great products, great people, great company.

Bought mine direct from their booth at ISGC in 2002 and it is the absolute best i ever used. Have a Jim Burden that is good too, but prefer my Big Daddy John Pearse over any i owned. Because of diabetic nueropathy i can no longer use the 7/8 MSA tone bar and the George L. If any one would like to have an MSA in pristine condition, bought from Tom Bradshaw in the 70's, zap me an e-mail maybe we can work out a trade of some sort. TJH

The web site that pops up on a google search for Pearce has a list of their authorized dealers . One of them was the music store around the corner from our house . I went down and ordered a Pearce bar and it was there in a few days . You might want to see who is the authorized dealer in your town .

I’ve used John Pearse Strings and Tone~Bars for quite a few years and have never tried anything that I liked better. I use them exclusively for both pedal and non-pedal steel.

Thanks everyone. I just found one in stock today. I felt at home right away with this bar. I guess I prefer SS to chrome. Im pretty sure the last set of strings I put on were nickle, which is what I usually go for.
