Here's another superb swinging tune by Dick McIntire from a Standard Transcription recording around 1939 using C#m tuning.

Correct but as it isn't used in the solo it isn't that critical. Feel free to amend your copy. |

Hi Guy, thanks for posting this cool Dick McIntire piece. I really like this song, but couldn't find the full audio version anywhere. Do you think you could post the full audio version when you get a chance, that would be very much appreciated.
Your notation work is stellar. I've been trying to learn Musecore 2.1, which is a free notation software and it has a rather robust learning curve to say the least lol. I took a break from steel guitar for a few years, but I'm back into working out on C6 and C#m7. I transcribed "Twilight Blues" back in 2005 (McIntires version) and I'm re-transcribing it again in C#m7 without looking at any of my old notes from before, just to get my ear used to C#m7 once again. I really enjoy studying Dick McIntire...Thanks for your work... |

Hi Scott, good to see your still around and thanks again for your help back in 2005 with "Twilight Blues". I'm still at odd's with Dicks three note chords, or is it his two note distorted amp sound Dyads? HaHa... You know what I mean  |

Likewise Jesse, and I remember when you tabbed Twilight Blues! I do know what you mean. The sound he got from that frypan was so thick, it can be hard to tell. I used to have a frypan that got that sound...it was amazing, almost like an organ. It was great for Dick McIntire stuff. |

Dead Picosong links are the worst, right? Reminds me of a few years back when photobucket decided to stop hosting pictures for free and uprooted nearly 2 decades of internet forum history.
Anyway, does anyone know where to find more Dick Mcintire? I saw old posts about Cumquat reissues which now seem defunct. Seems that there is nowhere to buy or otherwise find a lot of those classic Dick Mcintire tracks, such as Aloha Tears. |
