Arlington MCI RangeExpander

Post by Pat Moore »

Just testing the waters to see if there's any interest in an excellent condition black
Arlington MCI RangeExpander. 8&4 with George L pickups! Also, the original MCI case in great condition!
Gotta thin the herd, & this one begs to be played.
$2900 shipped & insured if anyone's serious.
Thx, Pat

 I kinda wish he did!!! Still up in the air about letting 'er go as it's such a great sounding easy player, but, it's been stored too long now, and I know there's someone out there who would really appreciate 'er as much as I have!
Definitely gonna be one of the "wish I hadn't sold that one" if she goes to a good home!
Thx David!

Beautiful! If I didn't already have H3143 and E3042... What do these letters and numbers mean? I can't imagine they made 3000+ instruments.

Anyones guess Peter hehe ... maybe the letters where the initials of the guy who built it .. since they all seem to be different ! ... mine is april 1986 so the numbers don't match up with any dating system that I can figure out...

the 3 could be the 3rd Iteration of the guitar (Waco, non-welded, welded) ...and the other digits could be the number of the guitar in the chain -- perhaps !! or not !!

Hi Ron,
It means it was made in Arlington Texas, vs earlier ones made in Waco Texas.
Thx, Pat

Gene Fields ran MCI when it was in Arlington. Then he started GFI.

Are you near Stafford ? If so, what would you take for it without shipping and insurance?

Hi Al, yeah, not too far away from Stafford. $2800 & she's yours. That's what I have invested.
Great, excellent condition & playing collector guitar!
Thx, Pat
