A great cover of a George Jones song, "When The Grass Grows Over Me" by Rhonda Vincent with Mike Johnson playing perfect steel:

Listening to Mike play is like being a kid and your Mom asks if you want to lick the last little bit of icing from the bowl.
Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night.

Here's a whack at the tab for this tune if anyone would like it. I took it off Rhonda's album but it's very close to the live video and Mike plays steel on the album as well.

Great job as always by Mike. And those harmonies were excellent with Rhonda.

Wonderful playing by Mike, great feel and his pitch is dead on. Is that his early 80’s PP?

The combination of her singing and Mike's playing is as good as it gets. A match made in Honky Tonk heaven!

Really Something

Thanks for posting that!! It's simple (looking) situations like this, where all the artists are stripped down to the basic raw needs and are still able to completely captivate your attention. It's funny how everyone in the clip makes it look so effortless and easy.
