The Waltz you saved for me in key of C ?

No one has any information on my search for this tab in the key of C/C6th. ? For lap steel of course . Sure need help

Don't have any info on it, but that tune was Wayne King's theme song ( the waltz king ) I went to see him in the late 40s, here at the old local( long gone now) auditorium...

James, I know you want tab but take a listen to Jerry Byrd's break on Ferlin Husky's version.

There will never be another Ferlin or Jerry Byrd . Jerry had such a wonderful touch , I listen to most all of his recordings . I have both of his teaching books and I have worked on every one of the songs and wish I could play one fraction of the way he played . As popular as that waltz was and is , there must be someone out there that has the tabs for lap steel in the key of C !! I have about given up Duane . Thank you for the info on the video's they are great to watch and listen to. I put them in my favorites .

James, I'll give it a try and tab you out a version of The Waltz. C6 tuning, and send me the names of your strings-6 or 8 string?

Duane,Here is the info you requested . I have a home made D8 guitar which I dearly love to play . Sounds as good as the expensive types !!!
String gages and names .

# 1.High E--- .015
# 2 C--- .017
# 3 A--- .022
# 4 G--- .024
# 5 E--- .030 W
# 6 C#-- .035 W
# 7 LOW C--- .035 W
# 8 Normally not used in C6
Short Neck as per Jerry Byrd .
