New Sticky Stuff for Finger-Picks:

I have had very good results getting my Picks to stay on comfortably with this Loctite product called Power Grab Mounting Tape.
One roll will last a very long time!
I cut about a centimeter of tape, which is a small rectangular piece that fits over the top of my finger-nail.
It is sticky on both sides but is made of a rubber-ee material that can form to your finger.
The tape stays attached to the pick after you put it on the first time.
When you take the picks off, there is no residue on your finger (unlike the Loctite Mounting Putty I used to use).
I put a piece on my Thumb-Pick, too.
You peel away the red stuff, and the tape itself is clear.

Very cool Pete! I struggle with keeping my picks on, especially when playing outside gigs in the Texas heat. I have tried several methods, with Gorilla Snot being the most effective, but the stuff has a tendency to get where you don't want it to get and it leaves a residue.

I am very anxious to try this!

I am a shrink-wrap fan, but I have not tried the pick method yet. It looks good

I hope to try some like that.

I read through a post about this a couple months ago and, have found that the Buddy Emmons "finger licking" method works very well for me personally. Very rarely, the index finger pick may come off, but it's usually because it's worked it's way out, and needs to be tightened up a little.

I used to do the finger lick thing too. You still can with this method, as the surface I am talking about is your nail, not your skin.
Having a padded surface between your nail and the pick adds ALOT of comfort.

I tried Bryanâ€™s method as an obviously perfect method but found that the shrink wrap on the sides of the picks rubbed together for me...

Iâ€™ll try this - I didnâ€™t love your sticky tack method because of mess, although it worked!

My wife gave a bottle of clear fingernail polish, and told me to coat the complete inside of the metal finger picks. I did and it works!

I liked this thumb-pick (from Jim Palanscar, it makes the bass strings real treble-ee), but I did not like the slotted thumb-wrap part.
I thought that part should have been left solid, like most other thumb picks.

I fixed it with the tape!

I'm loving the liquid Rossin I got from Frank Carter.You put it on the inside of your picks with a Q tip and let it dry.The picks slide on easy then your body heat activates the Rossin and you almost have to pry them off. I don't notice any residue either.You can also put Rossin on your fingers and picks,but be careful not to loose any skin taking them off.It seems to last about a month or two
