Yeah, this is a hard one for me. Otis was arguably the most gut-wrenching and emotional blues guitar player (and singer) that ever strapped one on. Got to see and hang out with him a few times, he just embodied everything I love about modern blues. Every note counted with searing reality. RIP, Otis. :(

Upon showing him this video, I had a knowledgeable guitar player argue with me a few years ago that Otis Rush ripped off Led Zeppelin - HA!

I've been a fan of Otis since the early 70s when I bought an LP called, "Chicago, the Blues Today." There were several other folks on that LP including James Cotton, another favorite of mine.

Otis was very cool..!! May he rest in peace.
