Your best bet would be Ebay.

I've seen these go for between $500-600 depending on condition and mechanical issues.

"No knees" would be a mechanical issue. They've sold here in the $300-$400 range.

No knee leever on a Maverick? Yikes - it's not got much going for it anyway (I had one). Did they even make them like that, or is that one hacked?

Might be worth $250. And somebody would really have to *want* it for some reason, since it's not even worth that as a player IMO.

Well I went back for a second look. There is a knee lever. There is a plate under neath to keep out dust and the kl is folded up under that. The owner never used it and got it out of his way. He plays it through a Rickenbacker amp and comes with a Sho Bud Volume pedal. It is in good shape and does sound good through the amp. He does not want to split it up and I don't think he could ship it. He wants 500 for the rig. There is nothing in this for me, just trying to be of help. Email me if I can be of help.

What does it look like? Is it a natural woodgrain with raised tuning head or plastic glue-on covering with recessed tuners?

As regards the no knee-lever question, a number of the blonde natural wood Mavericks were built in the early 1970's with three pedals and no knees. I bought one brand new in 1973 and played it for nearly fifteen years - it had a lot to offer someone used to playing with no pedals at all.

I bought some other stuff from the family and they offered me the steel, Sho Bud foot pedal and Danelectro delay which I am buying to help them out and take my chances at getting my money back. There is no case but I will pack it well in fact I have an old pp case around here somewhere that might work. If anyone has an interest at $350 plus shipping let me know ASAP.
