Just discovered this amazing solution. It's a pedaltrain jr on there, but I bet it would work well for many different size boards.

Yah know Brett I’ve thought of doing that a while ago but never Had the chance to do it..went the pedal board box with legs by Steelers Choice... not entirely crazy with it..a little small and the lip makes plugging cords into less than handy. Glad to see the snare stand works..looks like the snare holders can be positioned into the slots of the pedal board and even angle the board to your liking and height. Thanks for posting, hope all is well

That looks real good. But looking to solve the "one more thing to carry" syndrome, I work with this Pedaltrain Metro with a hard case. Obviously, size matters and pushing up to a larger board would make things tippy, perched on top of the case.

Man, my Blurphone takes some sharp pics.

I did that route Jon too...I had the bigger Gator in the flight case...heavy and awkward to me. I thought about mounting some of the collapsible fold out brackets that were used on older steel seats to the solid case and that probably would be a good idea. Just didn't get around to it and sold it to a local rock guitarist. Kind of still searching. I totally agree, one more thing to lug, but I like the idea. I probably should just go with the larger pedal board box from Steelers choice..

I don't think Steelers Choice make any pedal boards.
I got mine from Joe Naylor at SteelSeat.com.

I've done that move plenty too. The thing about that bugs me is having all the power supply leads smushed against the case. I've been using road case lids lately, but it becomes such a giant platform of junk. I'm really digging the snare stand thing for those reasons, also I'll be able to stage my pedalboard for easy on/off for festivals and support shows. I imagine I'll just be stowing it with he rest of the drum hardware. Win, win, win.

I do have problems with the wear & tear of any power or signal cords that hang their elbows just outside of the board's perimeter.

But what a boss idea! To the drummer: "Here--you forgot to pack this stand".

I'll show you a pedal board that's a pedal board.

This is a combination power strip, stereo pedal board and road case.

Jon - Just open that case up a bit and that should make it a more stable base.

Rick -- I'm embarrassed to admit that it never occurred to me. But I'm pretty satisfied that this is working fine. A larger board would be another story.
