If the bottom end of the pole is touching the base plate, you can't move it. I moved some of the poles on one of Bobby Ingano's frypans...very carefully, by just pushing them down a bit...
Some early frypans were set up as one of the poles being a ground for the pickup winding, touching the base plate, if I remember correctly. Rick Aiello would know about this... |

You could shim the string on the bridge to raise it... individual bridge height doesn't affect the playability as much as nut height. Is it bakelite? Superglue and baking soda makes a good shim... you can file it after it cures. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |

I bought a new saddle from george boards, im gonna get a E6 set made up by billy coopers if he has all the single strings that make up a set. All the other strings dont buzz so im gonna go that route for now
Also sending my nut to GBoards for they can make a 3d printed one as my but is chipped a little _________________ Guitar,Bass,Drums,PSG,Lapsteel,Mandolin,Banjo

There are no thumb nuts for adjustment on your pickup?
No room for adjustment ?
Two solutions I can think of...
One : Stephen Cowell stated by adding super glue and baking soda .
Two: file down the steel pole . But carefully, as the end poles have the wire wound around them. _________________ face book page:
