Edirol Studio Canvass SD-20

Post by Bill R. Baker »

I have a Edirol Studio Canvass SD-20. I have never
used it - just do now know how. It appears to be in
good condition and powers up. Can someone tell me
about what this unit may be worth. I also have manual.
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,
That unit is for making computer sounds sound almost like real instruments for tracks like Cakewalk or Sonar etc. Come out of the USB on the computer, into the unit, and then out of the stereo RCA jacks into the mixer.
As far as value, I'm not really sure, as it's an older unit, and newer stuff is out there. My guess would be about $50., but that's just a guess.
Good luck with it. I have an even older version of that one.

Don't know anything about these units, but Ebay prices range from $99 (SD-20 unit only) to over $250 (SD-20 unit with additional items or accessories).

Just tryin' to help out.
Best regards,
Mike

Thanks Mike . . .

On the MF website, it looks like it'll
run on Windows up thru XP but no later
version of Windows is listed . . .

It's a discontinued item . . .

Might run with newer Windows OS
but I wouldn't wanna chance it.

Looks like a handy unit for practicing.
I'd sure check with the Edirol folks and see if there is an update driver or a download or something that would make it work on newer window systems. Yeah sure i might be interested if i could iindeed git it a workin on windows 10, and ya had a price we could agree on.
