Some of those lines and all of that style is Pete, to a T.

Most likely, it was a very loose session, with lots of substances and very little guidance or charting involved.

Pedal steel on HHF tracks was probably Gerry Hogan. He certainly played ontheir album called 'Tracks'.
Roger Rettig - Emmons D10
(8+9: 'Day' pedals) Williams SD-12 (D13th: 8+6), Quilter TT-12, B-bender Teles and several old Martins.

Agreed! Although Gram doesn't directly state it was Pete, he details his own involvement in the LA overdub session here. I don't know if Pete was into the substances but it's obviously him playing.

Yes and Fred's link shows Tony Colton on keyboards done by Albert in the studio before. It's playback.

I just watched Arthur's link to HHF playing 'Harlequin'. That is Gerry Hogan's steel part from the recording. Albert's miming.

Thanks for that, Roger and Joachim. I was wondering about some of those pedal-esque sounds Albert was getting there. And I just figured Tony did something besides sing and play tambourine. Something tells me he might have been the babe magnet of the group too...
