i have been using this amp on occasional gigs (lots of comments on the sound and i agree) but today i was playing and all of a sudden it sounded like a mike squealing. only way to stop the noise is to turn the volume completely off. anyone had this problem with the 2000? any advice, rather than sending it to peavey?....thanks jack

My Session 2000 did the same thing. Here's a suggestion.

The 2000 is a great amp, but it has LOTS of molex connectors inside connecting all the pc boards. They ALL should to be cleaned (I suggest using DeOxIt D5) by spraying and then plugging and unplugging them several times to break down any corrosion on the contacts.

Clean all the jacks and pots while you're at it.

If you choose to do this yourself, be aware it will take some time, so don't get in a rush.

You might want to consider sending it off to Peavey. They can fix the squeal, and, if you ask, they can do all the cleaning described above.

Hope this helps.
