In the early 70's I started playing Pedal Steel Guitar. I was formerly a blues/rock and roller . My interest for Country music had begun.
I then joined a Country band, the leaders name was Fred Roos. He had an opening in his band
I worked with Fred for a decade or more. I had replaced another Steel player who took ill.
I also met other Country band leaders and filled in with them now and then
One of those band leaders name was Stan Forbes. Fred Roos introduced me to Stan Forbes
7 or 8 years later Stan Forbes introduced me to a female singer named Bonnie Cararbe
I was invited to play a big outdoor party for Revlon, Bonnie was the singer on this gig, 1980 or so
from that Revlon gig Bonnie and I stayed in touch and discussed putting a band together.
recap> I met Fred early 70's, Fred introduced me to Stan mid 70's , Stan introduced me to Bonnie around 1980.
Bonnie and I did start a band and then we got married in 1983
Remember I started playing Steel with Fred in the early 70's replacing a player who took ill ?
That Steel player, unbeknownst to me was Bonnie's dad, Tony Cararbe. _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,

Life is random.
Good and bad things happen to good and bad people.
In this case, it sounds like good things happened to good people! Congrats and here's to 35 more years! _________________ Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun. |
