Sold - Williams 5 x 5 Hybrid Steel For Sale

Post by jsaine »

Up for sale is my flaming orange Keyless Williams 5x5 pedal/non-pedal guitar. When I sent a picture to Bill Rudolph he thought that this was made about 1985. A nice piece of Williams history. I have the non-pedal neck tuned to C6. It was converted from a single neck when I purchased it. The E neck is standard Emmons setup with a Franklin Pedal on 4 - 5,6,10 up a whole step. Pedal 5 raises 5,6,and 7 strings up a whole step. I put the Tone Aligner pickups in and they sound really nice with this guitar. I still have the original George L's. Kind of hate to sell it but I have a 700 Series Williams now. Asking $2000 plus shipping because that's what I paid for it minus the new pickups. I'll consider any reasonable offers. It will come from Virginia.

Did you buy this guitar about 10 years ago from a shop in Norco California?

Jerry I bought this on Ebay but I believe it was from an individual seller if I recall correctly.

Yeah, its probably the same guitar, as it was on eBay at that time. It belonged to a gentleman named Verlin and he passed away. Nice guitar, good luck with your sale.

Thanks. I'm really not sure what it's worth but I'm hoping that anyone interested will make an offer. It's an odd one but it plays nicely!
