Jeffran Music

Post by George Frachiseur »

Has anybody had trouble with Jeffran Music not responding? I bought over $600 worth of Tab material and I found an issue with the #49 "Look at Us" tab (missing pages 9-10 on the instrumental. I have emailed them 3 times now asking them to send those pages and not heard one peep from them. I don't think that would be happening if Jeff was still at the helm.

Yes I had trouble too. The latest being "Just Play The Melody" missing page one, didn't bother cause I knew it would be a hassle getting it sorted. Prior to that it took a long time to get responses and product. I was just persistent and kept on hounding them. Eventually I got what I paid for.Hard work but!

I went to the Jeffran college in the 90's and Jeff was great! I just know that if he were still around that the ship would be much tighter than it is now. I'm kinda disappointed with how they're doing. Sad.

Post by Andy DePaule »

I got this message from them today in my e-mail attached below.
Was thinking of placing an order, but think I'll wait to see if any of you get what you ordered?
Please do post a note if the items you order arrive or if you hear from them.
Thanks,
Andy

Thanks Eugene,
I just wanted to be sure before I order something,
You may be right. Possibly they also have little experience in business and are learning as they go.
Lots of us have learned our business that way and not at Harvard, thank the lord.
Best wishes,
Andy :D

Don't think Mellisa really realized just how much work was involved when she agreed to take over from Jeff & Fran

I can tell you, from my experience (3 orders), everything arrived promptly and as promised. And twice when I emailed questions through the Jeffran website, Melissa answered me very quickly and took care of my (minor) concerns immediately.

I'm new to this PSG game, so I don't have any previous experience or connection with Jeff or the Newman family, and am judging only compared to other small internet businesses I've dealt with.

I say, if you want something, order it. It'll be fine.

No issues here also. Their turn around time isn't Amazon delivery speed, but everything I have ordered in the past couple months has been received within 2-weeks.

Woth it's weight in gold...

Post by George Frachiseur »

Yes sir it is worth it's weight in gold and getting all you pay for these days from Jeffran music since Jeff and Jan are gone is about as rare as gold also...I have been trying to get in touch with them about 3 weeks now to get missing pages in several of the woodshed product. It's only valuable if you can get it...Jeff and Fran would be ashamed of the way its being ran right now.

Jim, I've used the email on their webpage and any other email I could find for them...no answer from either. Very frustrating to say the least...I had no problem when I ordered over $600 worth of product though...they were Johnny on the spot!

My order is getting quite late

Post by Andy DePaule »

I had a problem about the shipping address so sent an e-mail with the correct address.
They responded quickly with the correct address and an invoice.
I paid them on the 29th of June. Today is the 20th of July and still nothing has arrived.
Sent another e-mail, but no answer yet?
Seems they are really up and down or something...
First time I placed an order two months ago it came in good time.
Hope they can get their house in order soon or at least answer, ship or refund?

I'm in the USA now for the last two weeks where it was to be shipped so no reason it would not be here by now that I can think of.

This said all orders will ship by the 2nd of July... Pony Express with a dead horse?

To be fair, since I was praising them, above.....

I did a big order with that 50% sale on 7/1........which, as the poster says, was supposed to ship by 7/2.

Ultimately, I didn't get tracking info until 7/10, and it didn't actually get shipped until 7/14. I received my order 7/16. So, basically everything was 2 weeks later than promised.

Now, considering the massive deal I got, and how many orders I expected them to get during that sale, I was fine with that. Not complaining at all. This isn't Amazon.

But, if it were me, I would NOT have put "All orders ship by July 2nd".

YMMV

Update, Got mine today

Post by Andy DePaule »

Update, Got mine today, Saturday the 21st.
Checked the USPS web site to see when it shipped but could not have done that until I had the package with the tracking number.
They were not shipped until the 17th but better late than never.
I wish them luck with getting their business in order and deliveries on time.
Andy

1986 I enrolled in Jeff’s college, intermediate course. The instructional material is the holly grail for pedal steel guitar. If your having trouble with your orders be patient. I still use the material I purchased to this day.

I just put in an order today. Sounds like they are super busy over there with a move and won't be responding until the 28th. I've ordered from Melissa before and it was a little slow moving but it all worked out. It's all good though I realize I'm dealing with a small business and recognize they are an asset to the community.
