Why not just buy a new basket? They are easy to install. I've bought several in years gone by from Steel Guitars Nashville, Bobbe Seymour's old store. _________________ It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. |

I've heard the Eminence EPS-15 pedal steel 15"
300 watt replacement speaker is very good and much lighter. Anybody using these speakers? Am I correct tha you can't change the basket in to original spiderweb Black Widow? I have some JBL D130's if you don't play loud. Too much output can blow them but they sure sound nice.

Anyone know if Peavey sells the 15" black widow
speakers brand new? I don't know if I'd want to mess around trying to get the old magnet on a new basket. I'd probably mess it up it, And buying something used is just another crap shoot. No offense meant to anyone selling used stuff. Does anyone happen to know Peaveys number? Lee, US Speaker shows new 1501-4 steel guitar speakers in stock. They also list the 15 in. neo magnet model as well. There is contact info if you would like to inquire. Find the mfg. buttons on top and click on Peavey to see them.

You might check with Mike Brown at Peavey, but some time back he stated that they weren't selling the speakers separate from the new 115 amp. |

Not to hi-jack the post, but I'm in need of a new basket for a 1501 if anyone has one laying around that would be more cost effective than buying a new 15" of any brand. |
