Metrics are okay
Metrics are okay, I can work with that.
But heck! Converting Celsius to Fahrenheit and the other way round is even slower for me than doing puzzles...

Ha ha ha! Well apologies, Mr. D. The actual image that I found was called "ProMat For Damir," Obviously, it predates your ownership. That is one beautiful guitar!Andy DePaule wrote:No it ain't, It's my Promat.

Re: No it ain't
Yes it's from their web site when it was still up. I'm about 90% sure it's the steel I have. They only did a few in that combination and most have the silver tuners, not gold.Jeffrey Smith wrote:Ha ha ha! Well apologies, Mr. D. Most have the micas on the front reversed from this.
As for that puzzle... I was even worse with that...
Took me 33:11 so even longer than the others.
I think it's like my speed picking, getting slower every day!

Re: No it ain't
Try this. Take the image of that puzzle and make it 100% and then pull it into the blank space and find the pieces that fit the now underlying picture. Another option is the "ghost" image. Toggle these images with "g" and "i". That way you can make 'em go away and reappear. It'll help your speed. If you see more than a 20% improvement, you owe me a speed picking lesson that will result in an improvement of my playing ability by the same magnitude.Andy DePaule wrote:Yes it's from their web site when it was still up. Ain't that cheatin' Not that I ain't been caught before... Heck 3 divorces later
Really I didn't even know you could do that, but it don't seem quite right to me.
I'll teach you to do my speed pickin' if you want to use half of the 45 minutes set to do 4 verses of Orange Blossom Special?

Speedy West in 1948 with the first Bigsby pedal steel guitar.
This I love because he gave me the photo during a visit about 1980 at his home in Broken Arrow, OK.

rcm907
Do we know who rcm907 is? They need to make a video of themselves working a puzzle. I swear... some of their times are so fast that I think, "If I had all the pieces numbered 1 to 120, I couldn't move them into place that quickly. And some of the non-steel puzzles on that site... whew! Some 300 piece puzzle that it takes me 40 minutes to do and someone does it in 8 minutes? They've got a second sight or something!
Where I work, some of the programmers have four monitors. Maybe that's what I need. Four monitors and a new steel... one that would make me forget about working puzzles.
