North Texas Tech?

Post by Allan Jirik »

I haven't played any music for a while as I'm in the process of getting ready to retire, marry and move to Wichita Falls Texas. My '74 MSA single 12 was fine until I changed strings and several pulls got buggered up. In the 70s I changed my Sho Bud around every which a way but now my eyes and my patience can't handle it. I'll have 'er down there by October and I was wondering if there are any steelers in the area or within driving distance that could help me put my guitar right again.

Bill Moore if you read this and you are willing to work on my guitar again, I'd be up for that too. I'm sure there isn't a whole lot of issues but I tried and I've just let 'er set for far too long.

I'll be retiring and moving to the Paris, Texas area as soon as my house in the Austin area sells. It would be a pretty good drive from Wichita Falls, but I have worked on, and have owned a LOT of MSA's. It'll probably take a couple of months to get my shop set up after I move, but if I can help, let me know.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, as well as some older MSAs, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Recently added a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored blue Rose, named the "Blue Bird" to the herd. Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic again that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also added a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks.

For what it's worth, the new MSA company is two hours from there. But, I'm not sure how much work they do on MSA's from the original company (pre-'83).
