Lately, the 10th string on the C6 neck is hitting the pole on the pickup making a loud "popping" sound. There is a little wear on the plastic part of the pickup from the string rubbing but I don't tink that's it because I lowered the pickup and it still happens. I do rest the heel of my hand on the strings but I always have. If I push the string down, the magnet pole sucks it down and makes the pop but only on that string.
thx

What you are seeing and hearing is common if the pickup is too close and/or you press too hard on the string. |

Jack
I've had this guitar for 27 years and haven't changes the pickup height or the weight of my hands
Maybe the wear on the edge of the P/U is the reason but I don't think so.
