| Does anyone have any music played on a pull release mp3 or whatever Im enterested in what can be played with a pull release system |

Russell, "pull-release" is just a type of mechanism used on early pedal steels. While it's not as popular as the all-pull mechanism used on most guitars today, it is still capable of playing all the same types of music. Some players feel that pull-release systems sound and feel different, but I think that's not a significant issue nowadays, or a lot more pros would be using them.
To see videos of pull-release steels, just go to Youtube and put in "Simmons pedal steel" (one of the currently made brands), or "Marlen pedal steel" (an old company that built hundreds of them). The GFI student model is also a pull-release, as were a lot of the older Sho~Bud guitars. |

| What Donie said ii agree. I just got a new Hudson pull release an I love it. An just finished building two new 3 An 4 pull release 10 strings. Would not work well for Paul Franklin but for the average picker it’s the cats meow. No rivets in changer or friction in changer too ware out or hang up. Only springs u Need is for your lowers. No reverse mechanism on two knee leavers if u use Emmons set up. It’s like the simple old cars most people could do simple repairs themselves. |

Other than splits and multiple lowers, pull release guitars can do all the standard stuff.

| Richard does play it well dosent he , I was thinking a pull release couldnt do much by the way some talk about the ability of the systen guess i was wrong ,i thought id be missing something I dont know what a split is from a split if ya get my meaning. |
