New Sierra Video Tour

Post by memphislim »

I got my new Sierra two weeks ago and I could not be
any happier with it! Instead of posting more pics, there's plenty here on the forum, I thought I'd make a video showing the guitar. The first half of the video I give a tour showing you the how the guitar looks and pointing out it's unique features. The second half I play a little so you can get a feel for the sound, sustain and clarity of the guitar. Hope you all enjoy my video of what I consider the best Pedal Steel ever made. Kudos Ross Shafer!

Michael,
That guitar sounds amazing with you playing it ! Let's get some players together and do a steel hang and check that beauty out.

Huge thanks Michael and great playing! Your vid is great...no small effort goes into a vid like that. Much appreciated!!

I'm thrilled that you and the other brave souls who took the big step to order one of these beasts are so happy with your guitars.

My marching orders from Sierra's owner (Ed Littlefield) were to design and build the very best pedal steel guitar I could....no holds barred. I dove in deep in an effort to design not just a cool new steel guitar but something special. According to those who are now playing these rigs on a regular basis...I succeeded....hot damn that feels good!

Very large and continuing thanks to Ed Littlefield for his belief in me!!

P.S. I want to be at that steel nerd session Bob wants to do! Guess I better get cranking on that transporter beam project!

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments on the video. I had many questions before I decided to order mine so thought this would help others in decided if this was the guitar for them.

Bob, I'd love to do a steel hang. We just need to get everyone on board and pick a time and place. Ross, you're already invited so we'll keep you in the loop on the details, hopefully we can come up with something everyone can do.

Wow.

Just: wow. What brilliant design, what exquisite execution.

The playing demo didn't hurt either.
Well up into mediocrity
I don't play what I'm supposed to.

Keep me posted if you come up with something. Maybe early before the band starts at Sam’s town point on a Monday. Or the hard luck lounge. I could ask Denis.

An amazing achievement. It's a long way from the Wright/Sierra I owned in the late '50's.
