Steel King Speaker

Post by Adrian Pounce »

Hi,
I'm after a 15" speaker that has come out of a Fender Steel King.
I know a lot of people changed them for something better so I'm praying I might be able to get one here!
Fingers Crossed.
Thanks

I have that speaker in a Fender Twin Custom 15...thinking about putting the BW in it and selling this one...this may be something different. I had a Steel King and I put a BW 1501-4 in it and I sure liked it better. This speaker I have is supposed to be a clone of the JBL D130...I believe that is the same one that comes in the Steel King...

Hey Alan,
If you decide to swap it out I'd love to buy the Steel King speaker ... I heard it was a copy of the JBL but I don't want to risk £200 - £300 on one (that's what they go for in the UK) when I've heard the Steel King Speaker in an Excelsior already and I loved it.

I think the big problem is the cost of shipping outside the USA...

Hi Dale,

Thanks

Did you contact Steve?

In the thread about Fender Steel King amps he mentioned he has a FSK speaker for sale.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.
