Speaking of the left side knee levers (Four of them - 2 left, 1 right, 1 vertical): My question is, when you work the front left knee lever, do you just play the front lever and allow the rear to go along for the ride? I am pulling my knee back when I don't plan to make that front pull.

Thanks for your input.
Jeff.

My E9 life has been spent on 3 & 4 guitars. Smile

I recently acquired a LeGrande III and have similar setup. LKL front raises my F#'s to G. I notice that sometimes my LKL rear which raises my E's to F starts to engage when using the front lever, which is not a good thing.

I imagine it is something that takes time to get used to... I am still in the trial and error period of adjusting the tilt on the two levers to try and achieve a better feel to them, but to be honest, I usually just fold up the front lever and play without it.

Hopefully some other players will chime in and offer some good advice on this.

I have a similar setup on my Carter D10.

My E to D# lever is my LKL to the front of the guitar (I play the Day setup). The second LKL is a couple of inches to the rear of the guitar, and a couple of inches closer to the keyhead. The tip of my knee hits the front lever. When I want to hit the rear lever, I just have to very slightly move my knee back a couple of inches, and the tip of my knee hits the lever without touching the front lever.

It can be a delicate adjustment to set it so that the rear LKL does not engage when you play the front one. If the changes are compatible, it can, as you say, go along for the ride. My front LKL raises string 4 E>F#. My rear LKL raises string 4 E>F. So inadvertent contact is not a problem on 4. However if the front lever moves the 8th string by accidental leg contact with that F lever.....not good. I've had to move the lever installation and adjust the angles of both to make it work for me.
