A tragic and tremendous loss. Everything good about my playing I owe to my association with Jeff.

Still my Golden Standard as I get deeper and deeper into teaching E9! I chatted with him just days before the accident, at the 2004 TSGA show. His death was a huge shock to the system of our tribe.

Even though both Jeff and Fran are gone, their memory lives with his multitude of courses that I play over and over and over. I miss you, Jeff and Fran.

Jeff Newman's contribution to educating pedal steel guitar players is unsurpassed. He was truly a great musician and teacher. May he RIP.
