Jim, we had this issue often when I was in southern gospel music.

It was usually up to the promoter booking us. It varied. The most common was 120 miles or a 2 hr drive within a month (sometime 2 month) period of their show. Our booking agent didn't have it in our contract that was sent to the promoter so the majority of the promoters would hand write it in and sign it, then send it back to our boss to sign. The majority were very reasonable. I remember there was one or two that wanted a 6 month radius...the boss just laughed and sent the contract back to our agent (unsigned). The promoter would then change the radius clause.

Jim,
If you have a local place you can play and get at least 50 people to attend, invite some of the local promoters, bookers and owners and do a live stream that might be helpful.

You can send a link to the venues your looking to book.

Thanks, Steve. The local promoters already are well aware of us. It's just that they each want exclusivity in territory and timespan...
