Brett Robinson with Whitey Morgan
Recently, I met Brett Robinson on tour with Whitey Morgan.
What an intelligent young man who is, in my opinion, a torch bearer of the instrument we all love so well. His efforts on the instrument has breathed new life into Outlaw Country with Whitey.
Brett's influences are Ralph Mooney and Eddie Long with strong lines of Lloyd Green.
Whitey Morgan sings with an attitude and Brett plays with one. Similarly, a quote Lloyd often describes his playing with Johnny Paycheck on the Little Darling Record Days.
If you have a chance to catch the rest of the tour with Whitey, please check Brett out. You won't be disappointed.

I went to see Whitey Morgan last night,
Bret sounded so good.
I waved and waved to try to tell him that I wanted to talk to him after the show, but he kept getting solos and ignoring me. anyway, im sure hes a really nice person.
The band is really tight, and the show was very entertaining. They are also really tall.

I just checked out Whitey Morgan this evening ( on radio and YouTube).
There is hope after all!!!!! "Leaving Again" may be one of the best things I ever heard. It's genuine hard core honky tonk. I'll be purchasing some of this music.
Brett, I hope you guys all get filthy rich.

I was invited to his home to check out his rig with the new PF-350 speakers and we spent a few hours playing & talking. I was really glad to see a somewhat younger guy that steeped in tradition, he really impressed me and made me hopeful for the steel to keep growing its roots...great guy!
I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.

I haven't heard the new PF Speakers. He was playing through a Twin when I heard him with the addition of a "Brown Box" to regulate the wattage on the amp. In my opinion, that made a huge difference in his tone and clarity.
So what is your opinion of the PF Speakers? Can't wait to hear them!
Brett is a great, young guy that gives a great effort on keeping the sound of steel guitar alive. A Torch Bearer for sure.
BC OUT!

I loved them and immediately ordered some and have a pair of Rick Johnson cabs and one Little Walter cab all 12 inch. The speakers are even everywhere you care to play from the first fret way up into Hughey Land! On both necks. Great speakers.
