Carter S12 4X5/ Carter's Carter? CLOSE/No interest

Post by Alan Rudd »

Carter S12 4x5 in excellent condition...black and gorgeous...I am told this was Bud's personal guitar. I might trade for the right SD10...has one cosmetic issue where it looks like someone meant to drill a small hole in the top on the neck near the 2nd string between the fretboard and the pickup...maybe considered adding a pickup and backed out...anyway, there it is. Otherwise, it's in perfect condition...$1995 shipped. Unless I changed the setup, then I will probably price it a little higher or keep it.

Hey, guys, I'm gonna pull the MSA until I can get some good photos of it. It needs a little cleaning up first...pics of the Carter will be up soon.

I am told this was Bud Carter's personal guitar, since he used 4 pedals, and was probably a Bb tuning...I think it could be easily converted to an extended E9. Steel is in excellent shape...hardly played, it appears. Case is like-new as well.

Shouldn't it be called an S12 as U12 implies Universal which this is not?
Mullen and Williams SU12, Owens Square neck dobro. Amps evolving Princeton II reverb w/ eminence Double T 12"

Ok, Jonathan, S12...also note new photo...disclosure: there is a hole in the neck between the fretboard and pickup. Seems it was done for a reason, but not sure why...just under the 2nd string. Maybe someone was going to add another pickup and backed out, maybe putting in a diamond or birthstone? No clue...

I have lowered the price to $1995, and I will still ship it to you for that price.

I can only tell you what it does, but not the tuning, because I don't know what it is or anyone else who can tell me at this point...I bought it to convert, but seeing if I can sell as is to someone who wants to possibly convert it.

Close her up until I can convert the guitar...no interest at this point. I bet when I convert her, she will get more attention.
