I am looking for tuners for a Rickenbacher Academy. I found these pictures online of what they should look like. I can imagine a little modification may be involved since the tuner strip is so short. Mostly looking for something that will match up with the existing holes in the head stock. Any help appreciated![img]

Hey Steve,

You might remember this thread from a couple months ago:

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=324969&highlight=academy+tuners

I wound up using these tuners from Stew-Mac:

http://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Parts/Tuning_Machines/Solid_Peghead_Guitar_Tuning_Machines/Golden_Age_Restoration_Tuners_for_Solid_Peghead_Guitar_with_Square-end.html

I'll try to get a picture of the backside of the headstock and post it tomorrow.

Thanks, Bill. I guess my memory is not what it used to be. I had even commented on that thread. Dang. Anyway thanks for the info. I may go for the Golden Age tuners as well if I don't get more ideas. Thanks again.

Bill, Do you recall if you got the short posts or the standard post height?

Thanks, Bill.
I would like to see a picture of the underside of the peg head if you can find it. I appreciate your help.
