I recently picked up a custom steel by Eldon, which was made for Eddie Van Cleaf. It is a D10 with 10/2,extremely well built.Whoever built this did a fantastic job. There are dials bored right in the neck near the PU,for tone.I believe Eddie played in NJ,so if any Forum brothers from the tri-state can shed some light on what I have, and a little about Mr. Van Cleaf, that'd be great. If anyone can post some pics that would be great also.I don't play C6th,so a trade of some sort can be worked out for a decent S,SD10.I really believe this steel would make someone very happy.Gonna put some new strings on her tonight and pics will be ready later,hopefully.--Thanks,Jim

Thanks for posting the pics Ricky.I put some new strings on,and ran it through my MusicMan 65,and sounds very nice.Whoever built this took care in machining all the parts, the tone/volume dials are unique also. This guitar is really unique, anybody familar with this?..---Jim

Hey Demps - Upon inspecting your photos - I don't think that was made by Frankie Kaye. The headstock is totally different than Frankie did and the pull fingers more modern. BTW I'm playing banjo tomorrow at Leggets with GlimmerGrass ya'll come!

Hey guys, could this be a Clark
guitar? I remember seeing Sonny Curtis
playing one twenty years.
I'm just guessing.
