I checked them out in Mesa last year, they looked great, played great and sounded great, really worth considering, along with the Carter.

carters are good psg. due to the attatitude of the people running the show i refuse to have one any longer. i had a SD 12 it was great sounding. but i moved on to better and bigger things. i started out on a carter starter and went to a carter SD 12 then to a msa (bad mistake) then i swapped back my carter then i sold it and bought a zum steel. nothing like it. once you had the best there is nothing better! thanks doc

Hi Stu, I just bought a Desert Rose guitar. I'm having some work(refurbishing actually) on my Push/pull and my Sho-Bud pro111. I bought this to play while this is being done as both jobs will take a matter of months. I've only played this one a couple of nights, but found it to be a solid, precise feeling instrument. The guitar is well made and plays and stays in tune. The tone reminds me of a cross between a Marlen I had several years ago and a Fulawka I had about three years ago. All in all I don't know for sure if it's a temporary guitar or not
thanks
