IMHO, there's only one thing better than owning a Mullen , that's owning 2 Mulli >

As far as the Humbucker p/u is concerned, i've been advised by a fellow Mullenite that the LXR 16 is a good choice , but they are hard as hen's teeth to find, in the narrow mount, that is. I'll try one when i find it.

Only one thing worst Is having to sell your most favorite Mullen cause of the economy. Damn it I miss that guitar.Someone Please buy my Desert rose so I can buy another Mullen

I was trying to learn how to play pedal steel on an old Sho~Bud LDG.The undercarriage was worn quite a bit,kind of like driving a big old Lincoln Continental with bad shocks and 3" of play in the steering wheel!
I made some test drives of various steels at the ISGC. The smoothness and precise action of the levers and pedals sold me on the Mullen.The Tone of the Mullen is similar to the Sho~Bud.But playing them side by side I would say the Mullen is Superior.

I have a 1991 D10 Mullen 8+6 with George L 10-1 pickups and a 2001 Royal Precision D10 8+6 with Jerry Wallace Truetone pickups. I bout both of them new and wouldn't part with either one. Haven't broken a 3rd string in two years. They stay in tune!!
