I have a gif tag animated image that opens fine in my computer file, but when I post a link to it online, it converts to a still jpeg tag. Is this the norm?
I don't see it available on the original host site where it was first posted anymore, so maybe that's the issue? |

It's an image I saved to my computer from another site.
When I post the link to it here from my photo files, it comes up as a jpg. v. the gif file that is on my computer.
When I checked the original site some time back, the image had been deleted and I'm not sure I remember where it was hosted.
It's not all that important, I was just wanting to post it to the forum here when people have questions about the split tuning feature and how to use it. |

Can you post a link to a private home computer? I don't think so. Have you tried uploading it to the forum? I believe GIF files work on the forum. If you want to just link to the file, you most likely need it residing on a website. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Thanks. Like said, it wasn't a major problem. I can definitely live with things like they are.
Anyway, I would hope that animated images wouldn't slow things down here, but I don't know about that. |

The software that runs this forum is elderly, like most of us steel players. It is naturally slow. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
