Question about Peterson Flip Strobe Tuner

Post by Jim Cohen »

If I leave the guitar plugged into its input, will it wear the battery down, or only if the tuner is turned on?

Thanks in advance.

Based on my constant usage and the fact that batteries last 6 mos or more I say that battery drain only occurs when the device is on.

I`m pretty sure playing through the tuner will change your signal and sound.

Thanks, Dag, I don't play through it. I run a separate line out of my VP to it.

Okay. Maybe there is a auto-off? Then again if it’s receiving a signal it probably won’t turn off.

Hi Jim,
When used with batteries, the StroboFlip only uses power when switched on. You should be able to leave your guitar plugged in if you so wish, just press the off button when you're done.

I don't plug into it, it's just mounted on my (steel's) leg.
