For C6 practice I have been playing through material I know pretty well from playing the guitar. The blues was an obvious choice as I was brought up with it and am very familiar with it . I was pleasantly surprised by how much this helped understanding the c6 layout. I took Doug Beaumier's advice and worked out all the chords, internalised and played them before getting into the solo stuff. I tried to keep the final performance as controlled as possible rather than just letting rip. Still finding I am needing to get the 7th chord in an easy manner hence C6/A7 tuning. Was fun to do and hope you enjoy it!

Very nice.
That is a favourite tune of mine. Nice to hear some blues played with a clean tone too. |

I was in my younger years tried playing lap steel. The course I had used for a tuning was C6/7th. I don't have the course any more but it seemed to be just 1string difference than the 6th. This was on a 6 string steel. Bob |
