Hello. Can anyone provide me with the key signature and the first chord for Tom Morrells version of "Maybe you'll be there" on the Relaxin' cd? I'm having a dickens of a time with it. Thank you...

Tuning is key. E13 has it there.
Beautiful song. His choice of `voicings sounds so smooth as usual.
Had a look at the first few bars.
very complex choices.
sounds like first chord
CM13 at the 10th fret.
lo - hi
C, D, A, B - he intentionally played that quartal harmony sound. and uses it a lot.
then second chord is a CM7 with 5th on top on the 8th fret but he plays single notes E, F, G so I add it on the G.
then C6 with no 3rd.
C, G, A, once again he uses that voicing a lot to get away from the normal C6th sound this is 2 frets down at the 8th fret.
then he does a single note C-D-E
then BbM7 with a 5th on top fret 6
then A7 with a 5th on top. fret 5 _________________ Stefan

I'd need to analyse it but sounds like C is the possible Key. _________________ Stefan
