hoping someone has suggestion.
I have a ZB D-11 I bought used long ago to explore the C6 neck.
The C6 pedals had many problems and were not setup to the standard codependent.
with no luck getting the pedal pulls in sync i removed all the rods and started over.
Using some of the pictures of the ZB undercarriage that I found in the Forum I started over.
I got all of the pulls in sync except the 5th pedal. As the pedal is depressed the pull for the 5th string lower pulls but the 3 raises do not begin until the 5th string has hit its limit.I have moved the rods and bell cranks to to every position with no luck.Am i missing something???

Tighten the spring on the 5th string lower.

Don, balance the string pairs with the small crossbars, then balance the string groups on the larger crossbar. Don't forget to use the center mounting screw for balancing too. Time consuming for sure, good luck, BH
Strings 5, 9 and 10 are used together as notes of a 9th chord (root on 10). Most people don't raise their 1st string on this pedal, but then again most people today tune their 1st string to D, not G.Don Balding wrote:Thanks Bob
that helped, had to tighten spring almost to max.
Now string 1 pulls with string 5 but string 9 and 10 dont pull until 1 and 5 reach their limit.
not knowing the C6 neck (yet)just wondering how often would string 1, 5,9 and 10 be used together.

I DONT BELIEVE IT
i have spent 1 1/2 weeks trying to get this right and a couple hand fulls of hair.
the tricky part was balancing string 1 and 5 since one is raise and one is lower so opposite string tension comes into play.
after almost wearing out the threads from moving rods and pivot points and a closer look i just noticed on the small bellcranks attached to the large bellcrank, the pivot is offcenter.
after reversing, problem solved.
my wife has been telling me i need glasses,oh well.
Many thanks Bob
