If it's the show at the Merry Go Round Playhouse, it should be Skip Krevins on steel. He called me to fill in for one date on the show, but I had a conflict and couldn't take it. He's an excellent steel player (and guitar player) from Long Island, NY and experienced with the show. The actress playing Patsy is Jacqueline Petroccia. I did the show with her a couple of times and she is does a GREAT job with that role. Fooch

Patsy Cline has been employing steel players all over the country since the early nineties, thanks to "Always... Patsy Cline," "Patsy at the Palace," and one other show I've forgotten the name. There could be PC tribute acts all over the globe I'm unaware of, for that matter.
Between her and some allegedly good whorehouse in Texas, a steel player used to could make a decent living doing this stuff.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

I had a call to do the NY show several months ago but I had a conflict. Jackie tells me that Skip is doing it.
Steve - I agree! Jackie is terrific in that role.
I'm in rehearsal for 'Hank Williams - Lost Highway' in Vero Beach, FL. It's a lot of fun and I'm delighted to be working with my old friend David Lutken who is the MD.
I'm doing a brief run of 'Always,....' in Key West in a couple of months always assuming that the theatre is still standing after hurricane Irma.

For over twenty years I've done 'nighter' tours, 'set-down' tours and 'in-house'Herb Steiner wrote:Patsy Cline has been employing steel players all over the country since the

productions of 'A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline' and 'Always . . Patsy Cline' along
with many productions of several different shows concerning Hank Williams as
well as several 'fictional' broadway musicals, all from behind a steel guitar.
Most of the work was done through 'Actors Equity' union in which
I'd became vested and now draw a nice monthly pension check in
addition to having earned the 'decent living' that Herb refers to.
At one point I had gotten curious and gathered the tour itineraries
and production schedules and they tallied up, at that point in time,
that I'd played over 2,000 performances of 'Patsy' shows!
