Sad news

Post by C Dixon »

May Jesus bring Ray healing and comfort.

And Sally, may He bless you also,

Ray is a legend in the world of SG. And a Rickenbacker guru.

I felt there had to be a reason Ray would sell his treasure. I am so sorry he is ill.

And what a gentleman. He was a dear fiend of Jerry Byrd. His website is awesome. Because of him I was able to once again listen to music of a nostalgic era long gone; that was impossible to find without the efforts of Ray. I shall forever be grateful to him for what he has done.

I am sure that all who know (and know of) him, will be praying for him. I shall certainly do it. I never met him, but I have the utmost love and respect for him always.

Again, may Jesus bring him comfort and healing,

c.

Some of Ray Montee's guitars

Post by Ray Montee »

You can go to jerry-byrdfanclub.com and see some of the guitars he has for sale. These are not all of them but it gives you some idea. Even his 1956 Bigsby quad, 6 pedal is for sale. Also his Emmons, push pull 10 string. It was new in the mid seventies. The Emmons has 8 pedals Neither the Bigsby or the Emmons have ever been modified and are in original condition. Both have excellent cases.

Hi Ray, I hope J.B.'s biggest fan is doing well.
I would be happy to have a chance to bid on any of the
Frypans.

Like Stephen, I too looked at the fan club website today, and while I did see a photo full of beautiful lap steel guitars, I rather became fascinated reading the "About Ray" page and learning about the wide range of activities Ray has engaged in over the years. So impressive!

So, Ray and Sally, listen to the physician within, and take your time to heal and recover, knowing that your many friends on the Steel Guitar Forum are wishing you well!

Guitars for sale

Post by Ray Montee »

The fan club has pictures of some of the guitars he has for sale. It was just for reference so you could see some of the guitars he has for sale. You have to look through the Fan club and you will see a lot of his guitars. Including his Bixby.
