How does one go about acquiring this book? It'd be great to read the backstory for the designer of my Steel.Pookie Anselmi wrote:I bought Bruce Zumsteg's book right after I placed my order. After having read the book 4 times, I'm glad I ordered the Encore.
If anyone hasn't read Bruce's book, I highly recommend it.

Thanks Karl. Here's a question. What other options are available for the Encore besides a 4th pedal, color, pickups and arm pad?
Are different position markers available? anything else? I didn't want to contact Doug for these questions, I know he's busy.
I told Doug what I wanted, I'm sure he'll contact me when he's ready to build mine.
Thanks

Here are a bunch of close up pictures of my new Encore. Sorry it took a few days...I've been struggling with being very sick lately. Fantastic PSG!!! Love it!

Hey Mike...Yes I really like the look. Doug did an amazing job, as is the case for every stage one and Encore I have seen pics of. Fantastic PSG's with amazing tone. I'm very pleased with mine.Mike Wheeler wrote:I LOVE the red stripes on the black!!! WOW! That's very sharp looking...even elegant. Congrats, Brian.

Regarding whether the wound strings were nickel
I just bought some spare strings from livesteel and they sell both nickel and steel wound strings. Doug confirmed with me via email that I should get the "steel" wound strings. He did not mention if nickel would be ok... but i guese the steel wound strings are what are recommended on the Encore. Sorry if this caused any confusion.

I don't think it's a big deal though. Perhaps Doug suggests steel versus nickel because steel lasts longer. Many people simply prefer the tone of nickel more though...but the nickels do not last as long. They will both work fine.
