Ultra light, single-neck, split cases -SOLD -

Post by Tommy Dodd »

At some point in time I had a single-neck Jackson Blackjack guitar. And then, somebody decided he wanted it really bad. So, sadly, I sold it but the buyer wanted the original wooden case that came with the guitar. I had forgotten I still had these great little, light-weight cases.

Today these are known as "BrandX" cases and are built by Steve Hinson. Steve bought the case company from Danny Bentley who actually made these cases for me. I don't recall what I paid for these but I know the new ones are going for around $300. I am pricing these at $175 + shipping. Needless to say, the cases are in excellent condition having been used very, very little.

Here are some specs.
Body case: inside dimensions= 8" wide x 32.75" long X 6.5" deep
1" high density foam on all sides and bottom
weight of the body case and lid is approx. 3.5 pounds

Leg/rod case: inside dimensions= 7" wide x 34.25" long X 4" deep
.5" high density foam on all sides and bottom
weight of the body case and lid is approx. 2.75 pounds

I've had a few calls about the sturdiness of these cases because of their light weight. There are several "road" steel players that use this type of case. Some even trust this case for "fly dates" on the major carriers. And, I've not heard of any damage to the cases or their guitars.
I personally have used this type of case for almost 20 years and have never had any problems at all.

Me like! Light, durable and you don't have to worry about scuffing up the pretty tweed covering. Can't drop off a moving vehicle but very good protection. Got my D-10 PP in it. Great deal Tommy!! And no wait!! :D

I think that these cases are way more protective than conventional hard cases. I've been using them for years.
This is a great deal.
