Hey folks. I'm having problems with the contacts on my pickup oxidizing and cutting my sound in half. Any quick fixes? Playing in Nashville tonight so if anyone has any around here I wouldn't mind buying another today or tomorrow. Also does anyone have any info on these pickups in general? Did they make a variety of them? Where are they?
Thanks! |

I'd shoot the contacts with DeOxit for a quick fix. |

Jim Palenscar at Steel Guitars of North County in So. Cal. is probably your best bet. |

When Sierra was here in Portland, Don Christianson (the long time owner) showed me how they cleaned those contacts using a pencil eraser.
Just like erasing a pencil mark. Takes a few seconds.

Yeah, get one of those Pink Erasers, about 2 inches long & rub new life into them contacts... _________________ Steel Guitar players are members of a Special Family |

fwiw, Here in the Pacific Northwest, you can actually see the oxidization.
My power windows stop working for the same reason sometimes. |
