E9 Tab/Backing Track Packages Available

Post by Jim Cohen »

Some folks have been asking me to list my E9 tab/backing track packages available for sale. The tunes available are shown below (links in parentheses are where you can hear a 30-second clip of each tune).

NOTE: Those links are NOT for buying the tab/track pacakage; they are ONLY to let you hear a little bit of the song as I played it. If you want to order a tab/track package, you MUST contact me directly, by email or PM; ONLY buy from the link below if you want to have my steel guitar version of the song only and you do NOT want the tab and backing track.

Someday Soon (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cohen)
Green, Green Grass of Home (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cohen5)
I Started a Joke (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cohen3)
Surfer Girl (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cohen2)
Tara's Theme (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cohen)
Walk Away Renee (https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/cohen3)

Each package contains my original steel track from the album, the original backing track* w/o steel, and the tablature for 10 string E9 tuning.

*except for Walk Away Renee which has a very nice BIAB track

Prices are $10 via email for each set. Delivery is via email only (sorry, I have discontinued sending of physical copies).

To order a full 3-part package, please contact me via the PM or email link below.

Thanks.

Jim

Jim,

Do you have any plans to offer any of your other sobgs? I have always loved the tune "I always get lucky with you" and others you did on that project is why I ask. Sounds wonderful buddy!

Thanks for asking, Jim. At this point, I don't have any plans to do more from that CD. If a number of people were to request a particular title, though, I would reconsider that.

Cheers,
Jim

I guess I need to start a request thread for "Let It Be Me" off of your "Cohen Goes Country" album, I think that was it anyway......

I just got Jim's "Someday Soon" via email today, and it's a winner. As a relative newbie, even just playing through the first couple verses, I managed to learn a few new moves.

Not to mention, it's just a beautiful version of a beautiful song.

Thanks, Jim. Glad you're finding it helpful.

And thanks to all the Forumites who've ordered tab/track packages. Hope you all enjoy them.

Hey Jim,

Let me second the quality of the "Someday Soon" package. Really nice! The "Just Walk Away Rene, Pachelbel" medley would be my next buy if you had it available. Man, what you did on that was beautiful!

Jim, the only one, I can say I have heard and know, is Green, Green, Grass of Home, not that I play it on steel. I've sang it many times, singing in country bands, while in the service in Germany. I'm sure the others are beautiful steel songs, and would like to have a hard copy w/cd, by snail mail, at your $15,00 a copy. How would you like paid, I can do check, or MO, my PayPal account is held right now, someone hacked in and charged so things not mine. Had to change password and all. Even charged one at a Walmart, all done on Sep 1st, and I caught it on the 1st. Real surprise. Anyway, let me know, if check you could check with Erv Niehaus, or Tom Bradshaw on my credibility. They just send my stuff, with a note for cost and I mail a check. What ever you want, but I would really like to see you music. Then also, your from Pennsylvania. Is Winnie still in your area, or did he pass away. I think I heard he did. Any way let me know.
I'll need your address too.

Thanks for making this available, Jim. I'll PM you about ordering a couple of these. By the way, I'd second Dan's suggestion for "Just Walk Away Rene" - love your arrangement and playing on that song.

Hi John,

Perhaps you bought the backing track directly at my website (where I don't sell the tab, just backing tracks). I'll PM you and we'll get you fixed up with the tab.

Thanks,
Jim

I've purchased several of these tabs from Jim. They're very well done and enjoyable to play. He responds very quickly to questions and orders. Nice to have the tab with backing tracks with the bonus of getting to hear Jim's playing.
